What is Canva and Why Should You Use It?

You can log in a variety of ways but we find it easiest to do this with Google.

A free account gives you plenty of design options but, if you want more, you can subscribe to a Pro account for a monthly fee.

Step 3: Choose the Right Canva Template

Once you've made a copy of our template you can search the Templates within Canva for a whole range of designs. If you're after a Valentines theme you can type 'valentines' in the search box. If you'd like something for Fathers Day type 'fathers day'. Canva offers a wide range of pre-designed templates specifically tailored for vinyl record covers. Select the template that resonates with your style and the mood of the music.

Step 4: Customize Your Design

Now comes the fun part! Personalize your vinyl record cover and centre labels by adding your own images, text, and colors. Canva allows you to upload your own photos or choose from their extensive library of stock images. Experiment with different fonts and layouts to create a design that reflects your artistic vision.

Step 5: Fine-tune and Finalize

Take a moment to review your design and make any necessary adjustments. Ensure that the text is legible, the images are aligned properly, and the overall composition is visually appealing. Make sure you don't have text, images or logos close to the artwork boundary as it make get cropped when we cut and fold the covers.

Don't forget, we punch a small hole in the centre of the labels so avoid putting text (or faces) right in the centre.

Canva provides various editing tools, such as resizing, cropping, and applying filters, to help you achieve the desired look.

Step 6: Download your files

Once you're satisfied with your custom vinyl record cover and centre label, it's time to download and print them. Canva offers high-resolution downloads in different file formats, including PDF and PNG. The best exporting settings are 'PDF for print'. Don't forget to check 'Crop Marks and Bleed' and 'Flatten PDF'.

Now you have the knowledge and tools to create your own custom vinyl record cover and centre labels using Canva. Let your creativity soar and make your music collection truly unique. Happy designing!
