Saltwire - hulled

In June 2026 we completed a run of 20 records for Saltwire, a five-piece alternative rock band out of Newcastle, NSW. Their album Hulled is an eight-track record that blends blues, pop, and atmospheric rock across two sides of clear 12" vinyl.

We cut 20 copies on clear 12" vinyl, packaged in a full-colour printed sleeve. The artwork — by Floozy Creative — carries a coastal, atmospheric quality throughout, with hands holding a wilting rose against the ocean on the front and a soft-focus figure gazing out to sea on the back. The centre labels carry the same imagery, tying the whole package together. The album was mixed by The Animal Farm Music in London and mastered by Hafod Mastering in the UK.

Saltwire are a Newcastle-based five-piece who blend blues, pop, and atmospheric rock into something both restrained and expansive. The band brings together distinct musical voices that naturally complement one another, building songs around melody, space, and mood — all grounded in a sense of place shaped by the coastal and working-city backdrop of Newcastle.

Hulled runs eight tracks deep, opening with Isolation Flow and Burning Through before landing on tracks like Woman of the Apocalypse and Faith Healing to close out Side A. Side B takes a more introspective turn with Introspection, Steady On, Sometimes, and closer Mythical. It's a record that sounds like the place it came from — wide open, weathered, and unhurried.
