Thee Repton County Killers – A Little Death in Autumn

In July 2026 we completed a run of 23 records for Thee Repton County Killers, a drum and guitar duo from Repton, Australia. Their album A Little Death in Autumn brings their brand of swamp echo blues, rockabilly swagger, and country murder ballads to clear 12" vinyl.

We cut 23 copies on clear 12" vinyl at 33RPM, packaged in a printed wallet fold cover with a lyric insert. The artwork is dark and cinematic — a haunting portrait on the front with red foil-style lettering, and a second portrait on the back alongside the full tracklist and credits. The lyric insert opens with the tagline "tales for the darkest hearts..." — which about sums it up. The album was tracked, mixed, and mastered at Studio 57 Recording Services in Taren Point, NSW.

Thee Repton County Killers are built around the core duo of Brett J. Barber on drums and vocals and G.D. Morgan on guitar, theremin, and vocals. But A Little Death in Autumn expands the palette — the six tracks feature Emily V. White on cello and Hammond organ, Marc Scully on bass guitar, Tayla Buttaro-Curtis on violin, and special guest Laura Hird contributing vocals and additional lyrics on the title track. It's a long way from just drums and guitar, but the swamp blues DNA is still at the centre of it. Tracks like Nightmare, Love Me Like My Demons Do, and Pale Rider tell you everything you need to know about where this band's head is at.
